For businesses building, deploying, or investing in AI across European financial services, the emerging regulatory picture demands a fundamentally different operational posture. Compliance can no longer be treated as a final checklist before product launch. It must be embedded into model design, training data governance, and go-to-market strategy from the outset.

The most immediate practical steps for firms navigating this landscape include:
